A stop motion animation by Aron Hidman and Mariel Rosendahl, featuring performance artist Gabriel Bohm Calles.
In the beginning it was dark. One can not become aware of the self, before meeting another. So, one creates it - being the fool, the child, the genius and God at the same time. Meeting someone else is meeting yourself; your flaws and your greatness.
The film was shot frame by frame using "real life animation" with the performers moving in extreme slow motion.

People shouting, household machines, ventilation, traffic, airplanes. The constant city noise travels with the wind and is not possible to escape on a daily basis. It drives me crazy sometimes.
True stillness comes from within though. I channel it in the patches of nature I can reach with a little quest to ensure solitude. I bring nothing but my camera and fika - Swedish for coffee & snack and the ritual that surrounds it; a break, a moment of peace.
